Sliding formwork from the manufacturer

The main principle of the sliding formwork technology is the process of continuously lifting the formwork in the vertical direction, in contrast to climbing formwork. And this is performed simultaneously with the routine operations such as installation of formwork, reinforcement, concreting and surface finishing.

Sliding formwork consists of specialized metal structures with a height of 1.15 m and a length of 1.24 m with various radii. Individual elements are bolted together to form a circle. For sliding formwork, a standard number of clamps are installed according to the project. Each clamp consists of vertical clamp supports located on both sides of the formwork. The vertical supports are connected with two horizontal profiles U120 or sheet metal 25/120, which together form the clamp frames. The horizontal lines of the clamp frames are located 70 cm above the upper edge of the formwork. In this case, the horizontal reinforcement shall be installed while the formwork is sliding. Formwork sliding is ensured with the help of hydraulic lifters. As a rule, one lifter is installed for each clamp.  The lifters are bound to the central pump with hydraulic hoses and are connected to it.

The lifters work synchronously and lift the entire formwork structure together with the working platform by 23 mm per cycle. The lifters slide upwards along the so-called ascending tubes. The formwork, together with the structure, grows upwards by several meters per day. As a rule, works are carried out 24 hours a day without interruption. The sliding speed is usually from 3 to 5 meters per full day. This advanced and progressive method of erecting reinforced concrete structures has a significant effect in terms of reducing construction time, saving resources, providing incomparable quality and guaranteeing the highest level of safety during work.

Advantages of concreting by the sliding formwork method

  1. High speed of construction of buildings and structures of any shape.
  2. Absolute absence of cold seams.
  3. Reduced labor intensity.
  4. Efficiency of erection of formwork and monolithic structures.
  5. Durability.
  6. The production cycle is carried out directly at the site.

Sliding formwork applications

  1. Agriculture (grain silos, elevators, storage facilities, etc.).
  2. Mining and construction materials production (cement storage, ore storage, pellets, etc.)
  3. Fuel and energy facilities (LNG tanks, TPP ash pans, chimneys, cooling towers).
  4. Transport construction facilities (bridge supports).
  5. Reinforcement and repair of structures.

THANKS TO THE ABOVE ADVANTAGES, THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION AND THE TIME OF WORK PERFORMANCE ARE REDUCED. MONOLITHIC CONSTRUCTION OF HIGH-RISE STRUCTURES WITH THE USE OF SLIDING FORMWORK PROVIDES A PROVEN PROCESS FLEXIBILITY. WITH THE USE OF ONE FORMWORK SET, ITS ADJUSTMENT AND PROCESS CONTROL, HIGH-LEVEL STRUCTURES OF ANY HEIGHT CAN BE ERECTED.

CONTINUOUS CONCRETING

Increase in labor productivity and reduction of construction time.

LONGER SERVICE LIFE

Increased requirements for the service life and reliability of formwork systems.

EVEN SURFACE

Increased requirements for the quality of the concrete surface in order to exclude puttying.
