SKA Arena is a stadium replacing the former building of SKK Petersburgsky during the reconstruction process in preparation for the upcoming Ice Hockey World Championship. The complex is intended for holding competitions in hockey, sledge hockey, figure skating; organization of training process and all-round training of athletes, including people with limited mobility. In the complex, mass exhibitions, entertainment and cultural and entertainment events will also be held.
In addition to work on the building, the park at SKA Arena is being reconstructed with the purpose of creation of a versatile park area, which is a logical functional continuation of the Arena stadium intended for holding outdoor cultural events, sports, quiet family recreation and walks with children. The planned stadium capacity is at least 1,000 people daily and up to 10,000 people on festival days.
GAMMA column formwork with a diameter of 90 cm is used in the construction of the Arena stadium.
